Establishing a charitable organization is no small feat. The Jaat community in North America embarks on this endeavor, driven by their profound values, with a clear vision and mission. Leading the way are Dr. Jaipal Rana as President, Dr. Suman Grewal as Vice-President, Mr. Anil Kumar as Secretary, and Mr. Krishan Pal Malik as Treasurer. Their dedicated efforts include not only laying the foundation of the organization but also developing robust democratic bylaws capable of withstanding the tests of time and adversity. With unwavering commitment, we strive to transform the community's vision and mission into an enduring institution. Together, we seek the wholehearted cooperation of the community in this noble undertaking.

I am deeply privileged and committed to serving as the FIRST interim President of the North American Jaat Heritage Foundation. This role carries great honor and responsibility, and I am acutely aware of the challenges and risks that lie ahead. Having experienced the journey of immigrating to the United States during a time when earning $3.25 per hour was the norm, and international phone calls to India costed $2.69 per minute, I fully understand the struggles we have overcome.

It is now imperative for us to unite as a community and build enduring institutions together. The time has come to contribute our collective efforts and resources. I invite all of you to join me in the spirit of collaboration and planning at the upcoming North American Jaat Heritage Convention 2023 in Canada. Together, let us lay the foundation stone for Jat Bhawan, a symbol of our unwavering dedication to preserving our heritage.
